Explanation: I am not aware of any home warranties that cover termite damage, as most warranties cover the major, mechanical components of a home. The only type of mortgage financing that still requires a termite/pest inspection in the state of Michigan are VA mortgages. This is paid by the seller and a copy of the report is provided to the buyer's agent for review. If termites are detected it would take further negotiation to determine who will be responsible to remediate the issue.
